Lee Scott

Biography

Lee Scott is in his first season as the men's basketball strength and conditioning coach at Kansas State in 2026-27 after being hired by head coach Casey Alexander on April 13. Scott spent the last three seasons (2023-26) on Alexander's staff at Belmont as director of sports performance. He was part of 68 wins, including 41 in conference play, as the Bruins transitioned from the Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) to Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) while extending their streak of 20-win seasons to 16. Scott came to Belmont in 2023 after nine years (2015-23) at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, including the last seven (2017-23) leading the Islanders' strength and conditioning program as an assistant athletic director for sports performance. He was part of Texas A&M-Corpus Christi's back-to-back Southland Conference championships in men's basketball under current Oklahoma State head coach Steve Lutz, which included consecutive trips to the NCAA Tournament and a victory in the 2023 First Four. Prior to joining TAMUCC, Scott served as the head strength and conditioning coach at Division II Texas A&M-Kingsville. Scott was a placekicker at Northwestern State (2005-07) and Midwestern State (2008-09), where he was part of a conference championship team in 2009. He earned his bachelor's degree in sports and fitness management from Midwestern State in 2009 and a master's degree in exercise physiology from the school in 2011.
