Associate Head Coach
Blake Reynolds enters the 2025 season in his third year at Grand Canyon. He was promoted to Associate Head Coach before the 2024 season. In 2024, Reynolds, who charges the tactical side of the Lopes defensive third, helped lead GCU's defense to a 0.84 goals-against-average (GAA). The feat was a Grand Canyon program-record. The 2023 season was a successful one, as Reynolds helped lead the Lopes back to the NCAA Tournament after an incredible run in the WAC Tournament. In his career prior to GCU, Reynolds had amassed a 141-69-30 record at Fort Hays State, Kansas Wesleyan and Midland. He has coach 84 all-conference honorees, including six NAIA All-Americans. Reynolds most recently coached at Fort Hays State from 2017 to 2021. In five seasons with the Tigers, he amassed a 39-27-11 record with three double-digit win seasons. Reynolds guided the team to two consecutive appearances in the conference tournament semifinals. Reynolds had great success at Kansas Wesleyan, where he compiled a record of 57-16-12 from 2013 to 2016. The Coyotes were dominant under Reynolds in conference play, compiling a 35-2-2 record to go along with three Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference titles. Kansas Wesleyan appeared in the NAIA national tournament twice under Reynolds in 2015 and 2016. The 2015 squad advanced past the opening round to make the final site of the tournament in Alabama. Prior to Kansas Wesleyan, Reynolds was head coach at Midland in Fremont, Nebraska, from 2009 to 2012. At Midland,

Assistant Coach
Leonard joined the staff in January of 2026. Leonard made it to Phoenix on the heels of multiple successful stops along the West Coast at the beginning of his young career. "We are thrilled to add Brad as our new assistant and goalkeeper coach," Cissell said. "He came highly recommended and impressed us with his passion, integrity, knowledge and character. We know he shares our soccer family values and understands the importance of our culture." "I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to join Grand Canyon," Leonard said. "I want to thank Chris and Blake (Reynolds) for their trust and belief in me. The program they have built is special, and I am eager to contribute to the ongoing success of the Lopes. I am extremely proud to be part of the GCU soccer family." The previous three seasons, Leonard oversaw the goalkeepers at Nevada, a team the Lopes faced in 2024 and 2025. Leonard helped return the Wolf Pack to the conference tournament for the first time in a decade in 2023, and make back-to-back appearances for the first time in 15 seasons in 2024. Leonard coached goalkeeper Ally Larkin to an All-Mountain West Newcomer Team in his first season in Reno, as the Wolf Pack earned five shutouts on the year. During his time at Nevada, Leonard also held the recruiting coordinator role. Before Nevada, Leonard began his coaching career at California, where he played a key role in a 10-win season and NCAA Tournament berth in 2022 and a goals-against-average of less than one in 2021
