Entering his 23rd season as the head men’s coach and Director of Golf for the Seminoles’ men’s and women’s golf programs, Jones has lifted the sport of golf at Florida State to new heights. In 2024-25, Jones led the Seminoles to four tournament victories, including the 2025 NCAA Tallahassee Regional, led by Luke Clanton, who won all four tournaments. Clanton also secured his PGA TOUR Card following the Valspar Invitational and became the second Ben Hogan Award winner in program history, next to John Pak. Clanton was also a finalist for the Fred Haskins and Jack Nicklaus awards. Following the season, Tyler Weaver qualified for the 125th U.S. Open where he finished fourth among amateurs competing at Oakmont. During the season, Weaver was the ACC runner-up and Cabo Collegiate champion. Clanton took over at No.1 in the World Golf Amateur Rankings in August of 2024 and was awarded the
