Through four seasons, Scheyer has amassed 124 career victories, the most by any Division I head coach in their first four seasons, while leading Duke to three ACC Tournament championships, three NCAA Elite Eight appearances and a trip to the Final Four. His teams have consistently ranked among the nation’s best, highlighted by multiple No. 1 rankings, dominant statistical profiles and a nation-leading number of victories over AP-ranked opponents during that span. In 2025-26, Scheyer was named the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division I Coach of the Year after leading Duke to a 35-3 record, a 17-1 mark in ACC play and the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament. Former Duke All-American Chris Carrawell has served on Duke’s staff since March 2018, when he returned to his alma mater as Assistant Coach. He was promoted to Associate Head Coach in June 2021. Carrawell, who won nearly 90 percent of his games as a player, has brought that winning mantra to the sidelines. In his six years on staff, Duke has gone 258-48, reached the Final Four in 2022, the Elite Eight in 2019 and 2024, claimed the program’s 21st and 22nd ACC Tournament titles in 2019 and 2023 and the program’s 20th ACC regular season crown in 2022. Working primarily with Duke’s frontcourt players and serving as the team’s offensive coordinator under head coach Jon Scheyer, Carrawell helped play a key role in the development of first-round NBA Draft picks Mark Williams in 2022 and Dereck Lively II in 2023, and second-round selection Kyle Filipowski in 2024. Williams, the ACC Defensive Player of the Year as a sophomore in 2022, was the 15th overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft by Charlotte, while Lively was taken 12th overall in 2023. Duke men’s basketball head coach Jon Scheyer hired Emanuel Dildy as an assistant coach in August of 2023, and he was promoted to the Steve & Judy Pagliuca Associate Head Coach position in August of 2025. Regarded in the coaching ranks as one of the nation’s top recruiters, Dildy spent three years on the staff as an assistant coach under Chris Collins at Northwestern from 2018-21. He comes to Duke after a two-year stint as assistant coach for Porter Moser at Oklahoma, having recently been promoted to associate head coach. “I have known Emanuel for quite some time and have great respect for his recruiting and on-court coaching abilities,” said Scheyer. “What stands out is his tireless work ethic, having most recently been on staff with two highly regarded head coaches in Chris Collins and Porter Moser.
