Head Coach
Steve Anschutz serves as the head coach of both the men's and women's tennis programs at Concordia University Wisconsin and has quickly built both teams into perennial contenders. Anschutz has led the women's program since the spring of 2012 and took over the men's team in 2015. Over more than a decade of NACC competition, his programs have combined for an outstanding 168-25 conference record, capturing seven regular-season titles—five on the women's side and two with the men. The women's team has been a dominant force under Anschutz, winning three straight NACC regular-season titles from 2015-16 through 2017-18 and most recently securing back-to-back titles in 2022-23 and 2023-24. The Falcons have also claimed six NACC Tournament championships (2016, 2017, 2018, 2021, 2023, and 2024), earning NCAA Division III Tournament berths in each of those seasons. The men's team rose to the top of the NACC standings in 2017 and 2018, winning both the regular season and tournament titles in consecutive years. In recognition of his success, Anschutz has been named NACC Coach of the Year six times—five times for the women (2016, 2017, 2018, 2022, 2023) and once for the men (2018). A proud CUW alumnus, Anschutz had an outstanding playing career with the Falcons, finishing with a 67-39 singles record (25-1 NAC) and a 63-44 doubles record (24-3 NAC). Off the court, Anschutz has been deeply involved in player development, spending more than three years coaching at the Paley Tennis Center and
