Calvin University Men's Volleyball

Aaron Sagraves began his Calvin head men's volleyball coaching duties in late September 2025.  Sagraves came to Calvin after an 11-year tenure at Cornerstone

Joined the Calvin men's volleyball coaching staff as an assistant coach in 2023. 2008 GVSU graduate with a double-major in psychology and special education. Brought seven years of volleyball coaching experience prior to joining the Calvin staff. His wife Mel is a Calvin University graduate. They have a six-year old daughter and two-year old son.

Mackenzi Vazquez joined Calvin men's volleyball coaching staff in the summer of 2025. She was a four-year starter on the women's volleyball team at the University of Michigan, earning All-America Honorable Mention honors as a freshman and senior, and All-Big 10 First Team as a senior. She played professionally in Puerto Rico in 2020 and 2023, in Peru in 2021, and for the Grand Rapids Rise in 2025. Vazquez graduated from the University of Michigan with a bachelor's degree in Sociology with minors in African American Studies, Women's Studies, and Community Action and Social Change, and earned a master's degree in Social Work in 2023. She spent one season as a Director of Operations and assistant coach for the Grand Rapids Rise, assisted several collegiate volleyball teams, and had one season as a varsity high school volleyball coach.

Joined the Calvin men's volleyball coaching staff as a volunteer assistant coach prior to the 2026 season. Played four seasons as a middle blocker on the Calvin women's volleyball team from 2021-24. During her collegiate career, Martinez recorded 481.0 total blocks and was named MIAA Freshman of the Year in 2021. Earned All-MIAA First Team honors as a junior in 2023 after ranking top five in the nation in blocks per set. Coached girls club volleyball (ages 13-15) for four years at Impact Dynamic Volleyball.
