Hired as Running Backs coach at Calvin in January of 2024. Coached running backs and special teams at Pioneer HS in Ann Arbor, Mich., from 2019-21. Student assistant football coach at the University of Michigan from 2018-19. Volunteer assistant football coach at Ann Arbor Pioneer HS and Ann Arbor Huron HS. Received a bachelor's degree in Sports management from the University of Michigan.

Austin McCrory was hired by Calvin as Defensive Line Coach in February 2025. He comes from DePauw University, where he coached the Defensive Line for four seasons (2021-2024). During his tenure at DePauw, the team compiled a 39-7 record, winning the NCAC four consecutive years including two undefeated regular seasons and earning a top 10 national ranking. McCrory coached 3 NCAC Defensive Players of the Year, 13 All-Conference players, and 5 All-Region players. In 2024, DePauw's defense was ranked #1 overall in Division III with the #1 rushing defense in the country, allowing just 1.1 yards per rush and recording 51.0 sacks for 2nd in the nation. Prior to DePauw, McCrory coached Defensive Line at Trinity International University in 2020 and at NCAA Division II Davenport University from 2017-2018, plus linebackers in 2019. At Davenport, he helped turn around the program from a 1-10 season in 2017 to a 6-5 finish in 2018 with a top-ten Division II defense. He also coached high school football at Grandville High School in Michigan as Defensive Line Coach, leading a 10-2 team with the #1 defense in Michigan Class A. McCrory is a Trine University graduate with a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and played four years on the defensive line for the Thunder before serving as a student coach in spring 2016. He holds a master's degree in Business Management from Davenport University.

Christian Verley was hired by the Knights to coach the defensive line after serving as the head football coach at Ottawa Hills High School from 2017-22. An Ottawa

Daniel Packard was hired by Calvin as Linebackers Coach in February 2025. He most recently coached defensive tackles for one season (2024) at Yale University, where two players at the position earned All-Conference honors. Previously, he coached outside linebackers and served as recruiting coordinator for two seasons (2022-23) at North Central College, where the team went 29-1 with two trips to the NCAA III championship game and won one national championship in 2022. He also coached outside linebackers for two seasons (2020-21) at his alma mater, Hendrix College. Packard graduated from Hendrix with a B.A. in Economics & Business and Psychology, and earned his MBA during his two years at North Central College. He played football at Hendrix, earning a starting position as a freshman before suffering a career-ending injury. Originally from Dallas, Texas, Packard graduated from Bishop Lynch High School in 2016 after serving as a two-year captain and helping that program to a state championship.

Coached high school football in the Grand Rapids area for 15 years, most recently as Special Teams Coordinator & Defensive Backs Coach at Rockford High School. Held various roles including Assistant Head Coach at Grand Rapids Union, Defensive Coordinator at Comstock Park, and Strength & Conditioning Coordinator. Graduated from Davenport University with a bachelor's degree in Sports Management & Marketing. Played running back in college for the Olivet Comets in 2011. Native of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Rockford High School graduate (2011). Was a player on the 2008 MHSAA Division 1 State Championship Team at Rockford HS and a coach on the 2012 MHSAA Division 3 State Championship Team at Grand Rapids Christian. Married to Devinie with two sons, Knox and Daxsyn.
