Biography

JerShon Cobb was announced as the assistant coach on April 22, 2026. Cobb comes to the Heights after two seasons with Bradley, where the program totaled 37 wins, including a 20-win campaign last year. In his first season, Bradley produced two All-Missouri Valley Conference selections and the league’s Newcomer of the Year. The Braves were known for their defense, finishing atop the Missouri Valley Conference in scoring defense at 64.2 points allowed per game. They also led the conference in three-point defense, holding opponents to 26.9% from beyond the arc, a mark that ranked among the top 20 nationally. On the offensive end, Bradley shot a league-best 34.6% from three while averaging eight made threes per game, second in the conference. The team also ranked second in the MVC in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.06). Before Bradley, Cobb spent two seasons as an assistant with Loyola Maryland men's basketball under Taravas Hardy, a former mentor from his playing days. Following his professional career, Cobb coached with the Atlanta Xpress AAU program near his hometown of Decatur, Georgia. He also returned to Northwestern Wildcats men's basketball as director of player development, contributing to scouting, game preparation, player development, and academic support. Cobb earned his degree in African-American Studies from Northwestern University in 2015. As a player, he competed professionally in the NBA G League with the Canton Charge and in Canada with the Halifax Hurricanes.
