Biography

Jashon Cornell enters his first season with the Boston College Football program as Defensive Analyst. Cornell spent last season as Defensive Assistant at Texas Southern, where he played a critical role in the defensive line room. Before getting into coaching, Cornell was selected in the seventh round (245th) overall by the Detroit Lions in the 2020 NFL Draft, where he spent three seasons. He was a three-time Big Ten champion as a member of The Ohio State Buckeyes, where he appeared in 46 career games with 15 starts. Cornell totaled 65 tackles, including 13.5 for loss, seven sacks and two forced fumbles. Cornell graduated from Ohio State with a degree in consumer finance in 2018 and a degree in hospitality management in 2019. He also received his MBA from the University of Texas, graduating in May of 2026.
