Bethel University Softball

Penny Foore enters her 12th year as the Royals head softball coach in 2024-25. In her tenure she has led Bethel to three MIAC regular season championships, two NCAA regional championships and two Super Regional appearances. Foore was promoted to Assistant Athletic Director in addition to her coaching duties in August 2024. In the role she provides oversight of event management including communication with opponents, event management personnel and ticketing. She is a four-year scholar athlete and two-year team captain at Concordia University-St. Paul, where she hit 20 career home runs, fourth all-time at Concordia, and helped lead the team to the 2001 NSIC Tournament Championship. Before joining Bethel, Foore served as head coach of the USSSA Pride and was the first NCAA DIII coach to coach in the National Fastpitch Pro League as an assistant with the Texas Charge in 2017. She also has five years of experience as a math teacher and has extensive experience in business operations and athletic training facility management.
