Head Baseball Coach
Brian Raabe enters his 15th season at the helm of the Bethel baseball program in 2025-26. The six-time minor league All-Star has led the Royals to the program's four NCAA tournament appearances. Raabe holds a 354-187 (.654) career record at Bethel and has established the program as a consistent MIAC contender with multiple regular season and playoff championships. Before Bethel, he spent 11 seasons as head coach at Forest Lake High School, where he turned the Rangers into one of the state's top perennial contenders in Class AAA, making three consecutive trips to the state tournament (2009-2011). As a player, Raabe had a professional baseball career spanning from 1990-1999, playing in the minor leagues and Major League Baseball for the Minnesota Twins, Seattle Mariners, and Colorado Rockies. He won the Triple-A batting title (.351) in 1996 and compiled a career professional batting average of .310. Raabe was an All-American and All-Big Ten player at the University of Minnesota in 1990 and was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the 41st round. He is also the lead hitting instructor for the Minnesota Twins Youth Training Academy and serves as a Play Ball! Minnesota Ambassador for the Minnesota Twins Community Fund.
