Maddie Luitwieler-Caruana

Maddie Luitwieler-Caruana joined Jay Goble's staff on June 20, 2024. In her first season on campus the Bears didn't miss a beat, as she played a key role in helping the Baylor become one of just seven teams to reach the NCAA Championship in seven of the last eight full seasons. Primarily walking with Silje Ohma this season, she helped lower the junior's stroke average from 75.17 to 73.43, while walking with her to a career-high five top-10 finishes, including a career-best runner-up at the PDI Intercollegiate. BU's win in Orlando, gave the squad a team win for the seventh-consecutive season, with the Bears' 30-under 834 ranking as the third-best team round in school history. She also helped the team to a strong tie for fourth at the Folds of Honor Collegiate in her first event with the team. The Katy, Texas, native came to Baylor after a season as the director of operations and assistant coach for the 2024 Big 12 Champion Texas Longhorns.
