The greatest rebuild in college basketball history reached its completion in 2021, as Scott Drew led Baylor to its first National Championship and the first Big 12 title in school history. Entering his 23rd season in 2025-26, Scott Drew is tied as the Big 12's longest-tenured head coach and has notched a school-record 464 victories in his first 22 years, including a 31-13 postseason record since 2009. Assistant Coach
A basketball lifer, Melvin Hunt was named an assistant coach on Scott Drew's staff on May 7, 2024. Associate Head Coach
Ron Sanchez was hired as an associate head coach on May 30, 2025. Assistant Coach
Tweety Carter was named Baylor Men's Basketball Director of Player Development on March 29, 2022, spending two seasons in that role, before being promoted to an assistant coach in May of 2024. Carter is entering his fourth season on staff with the Bears.
