Head Coach
Alfred University Athletics announced the appointment of Erin Schurr as the Interim Head Women's Lacrosse Coach in September 2025. Schurr currently serves as the Associate Director of Athletics and Senior Woman Administrator for Alfred University Athletics. She oversees 10 varsity athletics programs, along with academics, compliance, facilities, and special events. Prior to joining the Saxons, Schurr was the Head Women's Lacrosse Coach at Medaille University from 2018-23. While with the Mavericks, Schurr successfully led the women's lacrosse program to the United East Championship during the 2022 season. Medaille University joined the Empire 8 Conference in 2023, where Schurr and the Mavericks finished with a 9-5 overall record. Before her time with Medaille, Schurr was the Head Women's Lacrosse Coach and Head Women's Soccer Coach at SUNY Polytechnic for five years. During the 2016 women's lacrosse season with the Wildcats, Schurr led the program to a 13-4 overall record, securing the team's first NEAC Championship and an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Championship Tournament. Later that spring, SUNY Poly was credited with six All-Conference talents, while Schurr was honored as NEAC Coach of the Year. For two years prior to the SUNY Polytechnic head coaching position, Schurr was the assistant coach for both programs and before those appointments, she served as the assistant women's lacrosse coach at SUNY Geneseo for a year prior SUNY Poly. Assistant Coach
Katie Kenney joined the women's lacrosse program as an Assistant Coach prior to the 2025 season. Prior to joining AU, Kenney spent time as the Head Coach of the Relentless Hustle Lacrosse Club from 2019-22. She additionally spent time as the Head Varsity Lacrosse Coach at Livonia High School from 2014-18. Kenney graduated from Division II Lock Haven University with her bachelor's degree in education. As a member of the women's lacrosse team, Kenney was a two-time First Team All-American following the 2006 and 2007 seasons. During her time with the Bald Eagles, Kenney entered the record books with 123 career ground balls and 47 caused turnovers. Kenney later graduated from University of New England with her master's in education.
