Senior Assistant Coach
Hamid Shariff joined the Wittenberg men's soccer coaching staff in 2021. Hamid earned a Master's Degree in Athletic Coaching from Wittenberg University and a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science & Minor in Sports Management from Heidelberg University. A four-year starter for Heidelberg, Hamid was named as All-American, Midfielder of the Year, and a Hall of Fame inductee. In addition to his responsibilities at Wittenberg, Hamid also serves as a scout for the Columbus Crew MLS Academy and is Director of Coaching for NWFC. Hamid’s playing background includes stops at Professional level, both domestically and internationally including in Spain and Dubai. In sum, Hamid has over 10 years of experience coaching at the youth, college, and professional levels. Hamid has learned from many different coaching methods from the English Premier League, La Liga and MLS. While in Spain Hamid was part of a very selective UEFA coaching course while working with a LA LIGA academy, SD Huesca. From Columbus, Hamid is trilingual, speaking English, Spanish, and Swahili. Hamid is married with one son.

Assistant Coach
Michael Lambeck returned to his alma mater as an assistant coach in 2025. This is his second stint on the Wittenberg men's soccer coaching staff. A four-year letterwinner from 2008 to 2011, Lambeck was named team MVP in 2010 while garnering first-team All-North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) and All-Ohio recognition, and appeared again on the All-Ohio squad in 2011 on the third team. His career total of 315 saves ranks second in school history. After graduating from Wittenberg, Lambeck was the goalkeeper for the Zanesville Athletic FC of United Soccer League 2 for the 2012 season. Lambeck started his coaching career as an assistant with the University of Akron's women's soccer team, where his responsibilities included recruiting and scouting. Lambeck the returned to Wittenberg as an assistant coach in 2013, and he was a part of the staff for three seasons. Lambeck's other coaching stops include the University of the Ozarks (assistant 2016-19), McMurry University (head coach 2019-22), the College of Wooster (assistant 2022-23), and Johnson & Wales in Charlotte, NC (head coach 2024). Lambeck has also coached goalkeepers with Akron's men's soccer team summer camps, and he has worked camps organized a variety of clubs, organizations, and schools, including Buckeye Soccer Camps at Wittenberg, Team Ohio FC, Team Dayton, and girls' U-9 through U-17 with the Internationals Soccer Club in Akron.
