Biography

After leading the William & Mary football team to five consecutive winning campaigns for the first time in nearly three decades, Head Coach Mike London returns for his eighth season at the helm of the Tribe. In just seven seasons, London has already established himself as one of the most successful head coaches in the program's 132-year history. In addition to ranking as the third-winningest head coach at W&M (43) and earning 105 career victories, he has helped the Tribe break into the national rankings four of the past five seasons. Additionally, W&M ascended into the nation's top 10 three of the last four years. During the recent stretch of success, which includes an appearance in the 2022 NCAA Quarterfinals, London has helped Tribe standouts garner 55 All-CAA honors during the last five seasons, highlighted by 21 first-team selections. Additionally, 22 W&M players have combined to earn 81 All-America honors during London's tenure. London, a former assistant under longtime Tribe head coach Jimmye Laycock, returned to Williamsburg with an impressive list of accomplishments as a head coach that includes winning a national title at the University of Richmond (2008) and earning Atlantic Coast Conference Coach of the Year distinction at the University of Virginia (2011). Howard University's head coach from 2017-18, London's tenure leading the Bison was highlighted with his selection as a finalist for the 2017 STATS Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) Eddie Robinson Award.
