Head Coach
Jeff Hulsmeyer was named the 13th head coach of Wake Forest volleyball within program history on Jan. 9, 2025. Hulsmeyer comes to DEACTOWN following 10 seasons at FSU, where he most recently helped guide the Seminoles to a ninth-consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance. In each of the last two fall seasons (2023-24), Florida State has been consistently ranked within the American Volleyball Coaches Association’s (AVCA) Top 25 Coaches Poll. Additionally, the team was crowned co-champions of the 2023 Atlantic Coast Conference Championship – a first such achievement for the program since 2012. Hulsmeyer handled several duties during his time with the Seminoles, including development of the team’s setters, recruiting, scouting opponents in match preparation and handling the implementation of the team’s training program. Florida State produced five seasons of 20-plus wins, along with 12 All-Americans, two ACC Player of the Year nods, an ACC Rookie of the Year and 31 All-ACC selections during Hulsmeyer’s time in Tallahassee. Hulsmeyer brings over three decades worth of coaching experience at the collegiate level. In addition to his time at Florida State, he previously was the offensive and recruiting coordinator of Kansas State’s volleyball program for six years, following head coaching stints at both Georgetown College and Purdue University. Associate Director, Student-Athlete Services
Christia Fisher serves in the Student-Athlete Services office as an Associate Director and Academic Counselor. A native of Chapel Hill, N.C., Fisher is the academic counselor for the baseball, men's tennis and volleyball teams. Fisher earned her B.A. in history from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1986. She then went on to earn a pair of master's degrees from Wake Forest, an M.A. in history in 1992 and an M.A. in religion in 1997. Prior to joining the athletic department, Fisher served as the assistant director of merit-based scholarships and also worked in the office of development and the office of financial aid. Fisher served as a tutor with student-athlete services prior to joining the office full-time. Fisher lived and worked in Boston before moving to Winston-Salem. Fisher has three children, two of whom attend Wake Forest: Rand, Linden and Leah.

Director of Sports Performance, Return to Performance (Olympic Sports)
In his 3rd year at Wake Forest in 2023-24, Ken Knox currently serves as an Assistant Director for Sports Performance and the Return to Performance Coordinator for Olympic Sports. At Wake Forest, he works directly with Volleyball and Men’s Tennis and works in collaboration with the Rehab Coordinator to streamline rehabilitation and performance for student-athletes returning from long-term injury. Additionally, he has worked directly with Field Hockey, Women’s Tennis, and Track and Field (Throws) and is currently responsible for recruitment, coordination, and education of individuals who are taking part in the Olympic Sports - Sports Performance Internship. Knox joined Wake Forest in February 2021 after working as a graduate assistant strength & conditioning coach at the University of Kentucky. While in Lexington, Knox worked primarily with the Wildcats' Men's and Women's Tennis, Men's and Women's Cheer, and Diving teams, while also assisting with Women's Basketball, Volleyball, Softball, Gymnastics, and Baseball. Before arriving at Kentucky, he previously worked at his alma mater, Emory & Henry College, where he played football and baseball, as well as the University of South Carolina. Knox is certified through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa), National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), and is a certified athletic trainer through the Board of Certification. Assistant Coach
Sherisa Livingston joined the Demon Deacons volleyball staff as an assistant coach on Feb. 18, 2025. Livingston spent 2024 on the women’s volleyball staff at Charlotte, entering the fold as an assistant coach before stepping into the interim head coach role in November. During the fall season, she primarily worked with the 49ers’ middles and right-side hitters while coordinating team blocking and scheme, also assisting with all other player positions. From 2020-23, Livingston led Radford University’s volleyball program as head coach. Her leadership led to junior libero Shelby Hernandez being voted onto the VaSID All-State Second Team and representing Radford on the Big South All-Academic Team. Additionally, in her first season playing for Livingston, sophomore Sophie Paspal recorded the fifth-best attacking percentage in school history (.328). Prior to her time at Radford, Livingston was an assistant volleyball coach at Winthrop (2018-19). Her tenure with the Eagles involved training student-athletes at the attack and blocking positions, as well as helping develop the team’s offense. Livingston also aided the passer strategy, outlined game plans and dedicated time to the recruiting trail. Her efforts contributed to Winthrop winning the 2019 Big South Championship, its first since 2006, en route to earning an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. Triplette Family Assistant Coach & Recruiting Coordinator
Wake Forest head volleyball coach Jeff Hulsmeyer announced the addition of Tina Readling to his coaching staff on Feb. 6, 2025. Holding over 15 years of experience at the collegiate level, Readling joins the Demon Deacons in the position of the Triplette Family Volleyball Assistant Coach. From 2022-24, Readling spent time at Penn State, serving as Director of Operations for the Nittany Lions volleyball program. Her day-to-day planning, evaluation and relationship-building expertise all played a major part in Penn State going on to capture the 2024 NCAA Championship this past December. Prior to her time at Penn State, Readling spent 10 seasons on the women’s volleyball staff at Elon University. She was elevated to Associate Head Coach in 2015 after rejoining the Phoenix as an assistant coach in 2012. Elon won 128 matches during that stretch. Readling’s final season in 2021 involved helping lead the team to a program-best 11-5 conference record in the Colonial Athletic Association, ultimately advancing to the championship match of the CAA tournament. Haylie Clark was tabbed the CAA Setter of the Year, joining Leah Daniel and Jenn Krzeminski as a Phoenix trio that earned All-CAA honors.
