Biography

In his first season with the Marlins, he helped rejuvenate the women's golf program and brought the team to new heights as Juliette Coffey broke several program records and clinched the first ODAC Championship in the women's program history. Coffey won the individual tournament with a score of 230, while the team finished sixth with an overall score of 1029. The Men's golf team saw great improvement and was awarded the Mark Laesch Award by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA), an award to recognize based on improvement in adjusted stroke average per round from 2021-22 to 2022-23. The Men's team improved by an average of 29.94 strokes during that time period. Prior to Virginia Wesleyan, Coach Morgan was a player on the Men's Golf team at Virginia Wesleyan University from 2016-2018 and Old Dominion University from 2018-2021. Carter Graduated from Old Dominion University in December of 2020 with a degree in Business Management. Carter was a one-time champion at VWU and a two-time champion at ODU while also participating in the 2019 U.S. Amateur Championship at Pinehurst Resort.
