Chris Bracey

Biography

Chris Bracey is in his first season as an assistant coach with the Wisconsin women’s basketball program. He brings extensive experience in player development, coaching, and scouting, along with a proven track record of elevating teams at both the collegiate and professional levels. From 2018 to 2025, Bracey served as an assistant coach on Robin Pingeton’s staff at Missouri. During his tenure with the Tigers, he played a key role in developing standout players, including Grace Slaughter, the 2024–25 SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year and the team’s leading scorer. He also helped guide several players to All-SEC honors, such as Mama Dembele (All-SEC Defensive Team) and Hayley Frank, who became just the fourth player in program history to eclipse 2,000 career points. In addition to his work in player development, Bracey helped lead Missouri to three consecutive WNIT appearances, including an 18-13 finish in 2022–23. He was instrumental in the growth of players like Ashton Judd, who earned All-SEC Freshman Team honors in 2022–23, and Aijha Blackwell, who received the same recognition in 2019–20. Before transitioning to collegiate coaching, Bracey spent eight seasons playing professional basketball in Europe, with stops in Ireland, Switzerland, France, Greece, and Cyprus. He led Tralee to the Irish National Championship in 2004 and was named the Bosman Player of the Year.
