Aly Tetzloff joined coach Jonas Persson's staff prior to the start of the 2024-25 season after two seasons coaching at Florida Gulf Coast University. Tetzloff recently finished her second season at FGCU, where she helped the Eagles post a perfect 5-0 record in conference, then put together a performance at the ASUN Championships that saw them collect nine total medals. Tetzloff’s pupils reached the podium in every relay and one Eagle swimmer took gold in the 200 free and finished the competition with seven total medals, while the team took third. Tetzloff joined the staff at FGCU after a phenomenal career in the pool for the Auburn, achieving All-American status 14 times for the Tigers in in a variety of disciplines, including the 50 free, 100 free, 100 fly, 100 back, and all three free relays. She was also named All-SEC in 2017 and 2018 and was a three-time SEC Champion, winning the 100 back in as a senior in 2019 as well as the 400 free relay in back-to-back years in 2018 and 2019. Tetzloff has plenty of experience on the national level as well, having competed at both the 2016 and 2020 Olympic Trials, where she finished eighth in the 100 fly, as well as the Phillips 66 National Championships and the Toyota US Open. She has also competed professionally on the TYR Pro Swim Series as well as the International Swim League each of the past three reasons for the Tokyo Frog Kings in 2021 and the LA Current in 2020 and 2019. A graduate of the University of Utah class of 2020, Lewis made his way back to his alma mater in time for the start of the 2022-23 season and is now in his third year on Jonas Persson's staff. Lewis spent one season at the University of Northern Colorado as the assistant swimming and diving coach for the women's program. Brody has been Utah's primary coach for the breaststroke group over the last two seasons and also helped Jos Smith coach the long middle distance group in 2022-23. For the 2024-25 campaign, Lewis will lead the distance group, as well as dryland and breaststroke skills. He's been in charge of men's recruiting for the Utes since 2023. In 2024, he recruiting a signing class that was ranked 15th in the nation by Swimcloud. He served as the primary coach for Jaek Horner during Horner's final two years in Salt Lake City. Horner left Utah as the school record holder in the 100 and 200 breast, achieved All-American status in the 100 breast with a time of 51.35, the first Ute to become an All-American in that event, and reached the US Olympic Trials in the 100 breast. Assistant Athletics Director, Sports Performance
Two-time University of Utah alumnus Cody Lockling has been part of the Utah Athletics family since 2011 and currently serves as Director of Olympic Sports Performance. Currently he oversees the performance training of the gymnastics, alpine skiing and women’s soccer programs, as well as overseeing the training of all Olympic Sport Program. As a member of the University of Utah’s High Performance Leadership Team (HPLT) Cody and the rest of the HPLT strive to create a collaborative environment of performance and wellness where student-athletes are safe, supported, and empowered to develop and succeed as individuals, teammates, and members of society. He was promoted into his current role in July 2022, and previously guided the Utes’ Olympic programs as Associate of Sport Performance (2013-22) and graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach (2011-13). Cody served as Utah State Director for the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). He has organized and hosted several NSCA state clinics. He has frequently been invited to conferences to present on training and peak performance. Among Lockling’s many certifications are NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), USA Weightlifting Level 1, as well as USATF Level 1. He completed his Bachelor’s in exercise science at the U in 2011, later adding a Master’s in exercise physiology in 2013. Counselor/Coordinator of Groups
Elizabeth started in the Sport Psychology and Wellness office full-time in 2024 as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Group Coordinator. She works with the Cross Country & Track and Field, Swim & Dive, Ski, and Men's Tennis programs. She completed her graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Utah in 2024, where she interned in the Sport Psychology and Wellness office. Prior to pursuing education in mental health she received a Master's degree from California State University, Northridge with a concentration in Sport Psychology. Elizabeth started her career in athletics as a certified athletic trainer working in the high school and collegiate settings. This clinical background and experience helped prepare her to work with athletes in mental health and performance and fostered a special interest in the mental side of injury recovery and return to sport. In her free time, Elizabeth enjoys hiking, running, paddle boarding, and camping with her husband and dog.

Associate Head Coach
Jos Smith is entering his seventh season overall on the Utah coaching staff and is in his first season as associate swim coach in 2024-25 for the Utes. He is the primary coach for the program's middle distance swimmers and leads Utah's international recruiting. Since Smith arrived in Salt Lake City, he has guided the middle distance group for the Utes and has sent 13 of his athletes to the NCAA Championships. Smith has coached eight NCAA All-Americans during his tenure at Utah, has seen his student-athletes achieve 19 school records and post a slew of US Olympic Trials qualifying times. The list of Smith's pupils who've recorded new program records include Brandon Miller in the 400 IM and Evan VanBrocklin in the 200 fly and both student-athletes have also qualified for the Olympic Trials. Smith's coaching also helped Summer Stanfield reach the Olympic Trials and put up top 10 times in Utah history in the 200 back, 200 fly, 200 IM and 400 IM. Another of Smith's trainee's, Norah Hay, reached the Pac-12 A Final in the 200 back, while Lily Milner, Isabella Riso, Marko Kovacic, Jakub Walter and Nick Chirafisi have all posted top 10 times under Smith's tutelage. In 2021-22, Smith saw his 200-medley relay team of Andrei Ungur, Jaek Horner, Cooper deRyk and Finn O’Haimhirgin set a new school record of 1:23.62 to place 16th at the NCAA Championships and earn All-American honors. Keith Embray returned to his alma mater in June 2022, and was promoted in June 2024 to the role of senior associate athletics director for belonging and student success. Embray, a 1992 Utah graduate who was a football team captain, all-conference and all-academic performer, was initially hired in a newly created position that had dual reporting roles with the university and the athletics department, serving the latter as associate athletics director for equity, diversity, inclusion and student belonging from 2022-24. Embray came to Utah from Penn State University where he served as Assistant A.D. for Student-Athlete Welfare and Development. Embray works in collaboration with university leaders to provide strategic leadership and oversight in the areas of belonging and student success, including developing resources and trainings for student-athletes and staff, advising various student-athlete and staff-led committees and leadership groups, assisting in developing best practices for recruiting, hiring and retaining staff. Marschner has overseen the development of Elias Petersen, who was named the 2025 Big 12 Men's Diver of the Year. Petersen became the first Ute to garner a Big 12 yearly award after becoming the only Big 12 diver to earn First-Team All-American status on the national stage. The Malmo, Sweden native made it to the final of the 1m springboard event at the NCAA Championship, securing a fourth-place finish with a score of 389.45. He made his presence known this season, not only with his performance at NCAAs, but with his silver and bronze medals at the Big 12 Championship and by breaking the Utes program record on the one-meter with a score of 411.45 in the dual meet against BYU. Sports Dietitian
Sabine Krautgasser-Tolman started her role as a Sports Dietitian with the University of Utah in June 2022, working primarily with women’s basketball, soccer, softball, swim & dive, and men’s tennis. Before starting her career as a sport dietitian, Krautgasser was a student athlete at the University of Utah, competing for the Utah Ski Team from 2017-2020. Krautgasser received her master’s degree in nutrition and integrative physiology at the University of Utah in 2022, and her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology from the University of Utah in 2020. She is a Registered Dietitian and a Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD). Sabine is originally from Innichen/San Candidio, Italy. Prior to joining the University of Utah, Sabine was member of the Italian National team, finishing on the podium three-straight years in the slalom at the Italian National Junior Championships (2014-16). Johnson enters her 14th season with the Utes and she begins her 12th season as the Program's Director of Operations & Alumni Relations in 2025-26. Johnson joined the University of Utah coaching staff as an assistant coach in August 2012. During Johnson's first season with the Utes, she coached the breaststroke and butterfly groups to five individual NCAA `B' cuts and a school record in the 200 breast. She was also part of the 2012-2013 Utah coaching staff that had three individual NCAA qualifiers and set 12 new school records. During the 2013-2014 season, Johnson was part of the staff that saw record-setting performances and one of the most successful seasons in history of the Utah Swimming and Diving program, which included the teams setting 28 new school records, having two Pac-12 Conference individual champions, 17 NCAA participants and four NCAA All-Americans. In the spring of 2014, Johnson transitioned to Director of Operations & Alumni Relations for the program. During her time in this role, she has led the day-to day team operations, overseen fundraising campaigns, doubled the active swimming and diving alumni base, hosted the China Coaches Program in 2016 and 2018, and presented at the University of Arizona’s inaugural International Sports Diplomacy Conference in 2018. She also enjoys volunteering in the local community and has been involved with the Fisher House, Zane Beadles Golf Tournament, Children's Center Gala and VA Summer Games.
