His overall record is 115-65 with seven winning seasons and a .639 percentage. Engineer is also on the ITA Southern Regional Coaches Committee. During his time at Southern Miss, he was instrumental in recruiting highly-qualified student-athletes from across the globe from Europe, Asia and the Americas. He played a large role in recruiting ITF Junior World No. 79 from Thailand who played in the U.S. Open Junior Event. He also brought in one of the top recruits in the nation from India, who was No. 658 in the ATP. Through the years, several top nationally-ranked players from Ecuador, Morocco, Chinese Taipei and India were part of the men's tennis roster. During his ninth season with the Golden Eagles, his squad went 9-10. He helped Pasawee Reansuwong and Pawin Jirapoomdaje develop into talented freshman that played a key role on the Southern Miss team. He was named the USPTA Mississippi Coach of the Yar in July. Six of his student-athletes earned ITA Scholar Athlete honors and the team earned ITA All-Academic honors. Assistant Coach
Abhijeet Tiwari joined the Southern Miss men's tennis staff in August 2016. He has been involved in day-to-day lesson planning and weekly structure for the team, as well as training the student-athletes in all aspects of the game, including road trips. Prior to his Southern Miss arrival, Tiwari was the head coach at the Team Tennis Academy in New Delhi, India. While there, he implemented a comprehensive training program for elite players and traveled extensively with academy athletes for local, national and international tournaments and events. Tiwari managed all programming aspects of the academy from practice sessions to fitness. His skillset stretched beyond the courts, as he developed marketing and advertising methods to showcase the academy. As a coach, Tiwari mentored several top ATP performers, including Divij Sharan and Karunuday Singh and U18 national champion B.R. Nikshep at the country's largest tennis academy. Tiwari also boasts a decorated playing resume. He is a former All-India No. 2 player and competed and won in more than 70 national and international tournaments. He was victorious in both the adidas Nationals (clay court) and Fenesta Nationals (hard court), and was also sponsored by the state government and Indian Oil corporation during his time.
