Biography

Sean Binckes was named tight end coach at the University of South Florida in January 2026, joining head coach Brian Hartline's first Bulls staff. Binckes came to Tampa after a season working with the NFL's Las Vegas Raiders as an offensive assistant under coordinator Chip Kelly, working with the tight ends. He brings 11 years of coaching experience to the Bulls, having also worked on staffs at four universities including Ohio State, Temple, FIU, and Nassau Community College. Most recently, he spent the 2025 season with the Las Vegas Raiders coaching All-Pro tight end Brock Bowers, a former Georgia All-American who finished second on the team with 64 receptions for 680 yards and led the team with seven touchdown receptions. Prior to the NFL, Binckes joined the Ohio State football coaching staff in 2023 as a graduate assistant on the offensive side of the ball, working with Kelly and dealing specifically with tight ends. He earned his bachelor's degree in health sciences from Long Island University Post, where he played tight end from 2012-16, and received a master's degree in recreation and sports management from FIU.
