Biography

Professional Golfer 2022-23 New Mexico Assistant Coach 2023-Present Missouri Assistant Coach Bex Freebairn is in her first season with Missouri Swim and Dive after being hired as associate head coach in August of 2023. In her first season with the Tigers, Freebairn oversaw a men's team that finished 27th at NCAAs, and had five athletes garner All-America honors. More specifically, the 200 medley relay team featuring Grant Bochenski, Ty Spillane, Daniel Wilson and Frederik Rindshøj claimed second-team All-American status following their time of 1:23.29 at the national championship. Overall, Missouri sent 11 athletes to the NCAA Championship meets. Freebairn joined the Tigers after helping lead the University of Akron to back-to-back Mid-American Conference Championships in 2022 and 2023. Prior to joining the Zips, she spent a year as the head coach of Swim Waipa in Cambridge, New Zealand. During that time she was selected as coach of the National Regional Development Squad for Swim Waikato. From 2018-20, Freebain served as an assistant coach at Washington State. During her tenure, she helped guide four Couguars to Olympic qualifying times, three athletes to school records and 21 to top-10 program times.
