Allison Boevers

Biography

Allison Boevers is in her fifth season as an assistant coach for the University of Michigan track and field team in 2025-26, working primarily with the Wolverine throwers. Boevers by the Numbers • Has coached or assisted in coaching student-athletes to a combined 19 NCAA All-America honors, including four at Michigan • Has coached or assisted in coaching eight conference champions • Has coached or assisted in coaching eight school record-holders, including four at Michigan At Michigan • In 2025 Elizabeth Tapper had a breakout sophomore season, setting the indoor and outdoor shot put program records and advancing to the NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Championships. She finished third at the Big Ten Indoor Championships, setting the program record (18.26m) for the fifth straight meet, before finishing 12th (16.90m) at the NCAA Indoor Championships for Second Team All-America honors. Tapper took silver at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships, setting the program record (17.65m) for the second time. Tapper finished fourth at the NCAA East First Round (17.28m) and 14th at the NCAA Outdoor Championships (16.97m) for Second Team All-America honors. Emma Yungeberg had another successful season, setting the program record and finishing fourth in the javelin throw (53.08m). She nearly topped the record at the NCAA East First Round with a mark of 52.97m, advancing to the NCAA Outdoor Championships and finishing 17th (50.88m) for Honorable Mention All-America honors.
