Over the course of his time at Louisville, Rhoads has coached the Cardinals' multis group to four USTFCCCA All-American honors, five NCAA Championships qualifications, three individual ACC titles, eight All-ACC honors, and one NCAA Regionals bid. 2025-26 Indoor During the 2025-26 indoor season, Rhoads continued to develop KJ Byrd into one of the top multis in the nation, as the sophomore finished as the national runner-up in the men’s heptathlon. Byrd also set an American and NCAA record in the heptathlon pole vault at the NCAA Indoor Championships that also ranks as the best pole vault mark in program history. Byrd earned the second conference title of his career at the ACC Indoor Championships, winning the open pole vault title. At the conclusion of the season, Byrd was named both the ACC Men’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Year and the USTFCCCA Southeast Regional Men’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Year. 2024-25
