Head Coach
Head Coach Doshia Woods (Western Illinois '01) enters her sixth year in charge of the Pioneers in 2025-26. Woods was named the 11th head women's basketball coach in the program's history on July 21, 2020. The Topeka, Kansas, native has been a guest on various podcasts about leadership and team culture. A featured speaker for the 2021 The Power of Positive Summit presented Jon Gordon, Woods discussed her transition from assistant to head coach. Additionally, Woods serves on various committees including the University of Denver athletics department DEI, DU's Black Community Advisory Board, and Tulane University Alumni Council for the school of professional advancement. An active member of the WBCA (Women's Basketball Coaches Association) she has participated as a speaker for multiple roundtables and panels at the national convention, while also serving on committees within the WBCA. Woods came to the Mile High City after 10 seasons on the Tulane women's basketball coaching staff.

Assistant Coach
Frazier joins the Pioneers in 2025 after serving as an assistant coach at Monmouth University, specializing in guards and coached Damaris Rodrigues to Monmouth's first All-CAA First Team selection since 2009. Prior to her time in New Jersey, Frazier served as an assistant at Appalachian State for the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons. During her time with the Mountaineers, Frazier was a key member of a staff that won 28 games including a pair in the Sun Belt Tournament. She brings expertise in recruiting, scouting, player development and community service initiatives. The Georgia native was a three-year captain at East Carolina University as well as the 2018 ECU Defensive Player of the Year and 2019 Team MVP. Frazier is one of just 13 players in school history to lead the team in assists during multiple seasons.

Assistant Coach/Recruiting Coordinator
Janet Butler was named the program's assistant coach and recruiting coordinator by head coach Doshia Woods on May 27, 2025, and will begin her first season with the program in 2025-26. Butler arrives in Denver with 14 years of Division I experience, including most recently a season as an assistant coach at Fordham and four seasons on the women's basketball staff at Tulane. Butler coached all-conference selection Taylor Donaldson who averaged 16.3 points per game and led Fordham to a 15-15 record last season, including a 10-4 mark at home. Prior to her time at Fordham, Butler spent one season as an assistant coach at Tulane following three years with the Green Wave (2020-23) as the assistant director for student-athlete development and video. In her four years, Butler helped Tulane earn three postseason berths (2021, 2022, 2023 WNIT). The Louisiana native was a 2017-18 Women's Basketball Coaches' Association (WBCA) Thirty Under 30 honoree.

Associate Head Coach
Lindsay Werntz enters her fourth season as the associate head coach and her sixth season with the program overall in 2025-26. Werntz was named an assistant coach on Doshia Woods staff on August 20, 2020. Werntz came to Denver after eight seasons with Woods and the Tulane staff as the Director of Women's Basketball Operations for the Green Wave. While with Tulane, Werntz coordinated game scheduling and travel, oversaw the operating budget and the Mentor Program and served as liaison with the equipment staff. Prior to joining the Green Wave's staff, Werntz was the top assistant for two seasons at Loyola University New Orleans where she helped the Wolfpack to a combined record of 43-18 and a 20-10 mark in conference play. Werntz helped guide the program to the NAIA National Tournament in 2011-12, finishing 23-6 and 14-4 in the league.
