Jenn Salomon-Clayton

Biography

Jenn Salomon joined the Army Women's Rugby program in early September as the team's newest assistant coach and was promoted to the Penny Anderson Women's Rugby Head Coach in June 2025. Salomon, a former collegiate and current professional rugby player, came to the Black Knights with a distinguished rugby background. After playing women's rugby at Quinnipiac for four years and serving as the team's captain, Salomon made the move to the senior rugby circuit in 2017. Initially joining the New York Rugby Club, Salomon was a member of the club's 2017 USA Rugby Women's Premier League (WPL) National XV Champion team. She then helped the program finish third in the USA Rugby WPL XV championships as captain in 2018 and 2019 as well as a fifth-place finish in the 2018 USA Rugby National 7s tournament. The 2017 New York Rugby Rookie of the Year and 2017 Women's Premier League All-Star East selection then began her tenure with the Mexico 7s National Rugby Team in 2019 – a team she continues to play for to this day. A two-time Pan-American Games competitor, Salomon has helped Mexico to impressive showings at the 2021 HSBC Fast Four, the 2022 HSBC World Series, the 2022 and 2023 HSBC World Rugby Challenger Series, and the 2023 Central American Games – helping Mexico earn the silver medal at the latter event. In 2021, Salomon moved to England to play with the London Irish RFC, serving as a team captain and helped lead the club to a 16-0 season during her time with the team. From there, Salo
