Janelle Harrison

Biography

Janelle Harrison enters her second season as an assistant coach/operations in 2026-27. Harrison brings a diverse and accomplished background as both a player and coach across all levels of collegiate basketball, with recent success at Stonehill, Post University, and Bryant. She arrives at West Point after spending the previous season as an assistant coach at Stonehill University where the team made a WNIT berth. Prior to Stonehill, she served as the top assistant coach at Post University in 2023-24, helping lead the Eagles to a 17-10 overall record and the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) North Division Regular Season Championship. She previously served as an assistant coach at Bryant University during the Bulldogs' first season in the America East Conference in 2022-23, working alongside current Stonehill assistant Marcus Reilly and focusing on post player development and recruiting. Harrison began her coaching career as Director of Basketball Operations at the University of Hartford during the 2021-22 season. Before entering coaching, she enjoyed a three-year professional playing career overseas, competing in Portugal, Lebanon, Puerto Rico, and Egypt. As a player at Hartford, she was a two-year captain, earned two America East All-Defensive Team selections, surpassed 1,000 career points and 500 rebounds, and earned All-Tournament Team honors as a senior. She graduated from Hartford in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts in communication and earned her MBA in 2023.
