Colin McGuire

Biography

Colin McGuire enters his first season as Air Force lacrosse's new assistant coach in 2026. McGuire joins the Falcons following three highly successful seasons at the University of Richmond, where he served as an assistant coach overseeing all aspects of the Spider offense. In 2025, Richmond posted a program-best 14–3 record, an undefeated 5–0 mark in Atlantic 10 play and captured its first-ever A-10 regular season title along with a second conference tournament championship in three years. The Spiders earned their first NCAA Tournament victory—an upset over No. 8 North Carolina—and climbed as high as No. 5 in the national rankings. During his Richmond tenure, McGuire's offenses consistently ranked among the nation's best. In 2025, the Spiders finished second nationally in scoring margin, eighth in clearing percentage, ninth in scoring offense, and 11th in points per game. He helped develop multiple All-Americans, including Aidan O'Neil, Max Merklinger, and Joe Sheridan. In 2024, McGuire's offense set Richmond program records for shots (671) and goals (218) while ranking among the top-10 nationally in shot percentage, scoring margin, and points per game. He guided Dalton Young and Lance Madonna to back-to-back Atlantic 10 Offensive Player and Midfielder of the Year honors, with Young signing to play professionally in the Premier Lacrosse League.
