Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Coach of the Year (2025) Anzevui was named the seventh head coach in program history on November 8, 2022, after serving as interim head coach since January 21, 2022. He joined the Sacred Heart men’s soccer staff on August 20, 2014. In 2025, Anzevui led Sacred Heart to an undefeated MAAC regular-season championship with a 7–0–3 record in conference, advancing to the MAAC Conference Final. He was named the 2025 MAAC Coach of the Year after finishing with an overall record of 9–4–5. Sacred Heart concluded the season ranked No. 49 nationally in the RPI and was listed in the United Soccer Coaches East Region Top 10 for four weeks. The Pioneers broke multiple Division I program records, including an 11-match unbeaten streak and 32 goals scored. The team earned five First Team All-Conference selections, tied for the most in the nation in 2025. Sacred Heart also claimed two major MAAC awards, as Daniel Losfablos was named MAAC Defensive Player of the Year and Luca Marinelli earned MAAC Goalkeeper of the Year honors. Aidan Borra (’24) also signed professionally with Westchester SC in USL League One. In 2024, Anzevui guided the Pioneers to their third consecutive postseason appearance. Paulo De Oliveira returns for his 20th Season with the Pioneer’s men’s program as an assistant and goalkeeper coach. De Oliveira has worked for both the Men’s and Women’s program primarily as the goalkeeper coach since 2005, before moving entirely to men’s side. While on the men’s side De Oliveira’s primary role is to work with all facets of the goalkeeping program and assist with team recruiting, video analysis, practice/game day preparation. Throughout De Oliveira’s coaching career he has helped many goalkeepers reach their full potential and earn many goalkeeping accolades. This includes All-New England standout Matt Jones, who went on to play professionally in the Portuguese First Division (Primeira Liga) for C.F. Belenenses, before returning and finishing his career at the Philadelphia Union in the MLS. Originally from Bridgeport Connecticut, De Oliveira attended Bridgeport Central High School where he helped the school end it’s 10-year State tournament drought. He was a two-time All-State and All-Conference selection while attending Bridgeport Central. De Oliveira went on to enjoy a standout playing career at 6-time National Champion powerhouse Southern Connecticut State University. During his collegiate career the Owls won four regular-season championships and had four NCAA tournament appearances while in goal.
