Men's Lacrosse Head Coach
Mason Poli, a former standout lacrosse player at Bryant University, just wrapped up his 11th season with the Quinnipiac coaching staff. Poli completed his seventh season as Head Coach of the Bobcats in 2025. After serving as an assistant for the Bobcats’ program for four seasons (2015-18), Poli was elevated to Interim Head Coach for the 2019 season. He was then named Men’s Lacrosse Head Coach on May 10, 2019, becoming the Bobcats’ sixth head coach in program history and third at the Division I level. QU has won 34 matchups in seven seasons since Poli took over as Head Coach. In 2019 as Interim Head Coach, Poli led Quinnipiac men’s lacrosse to a 9-7 (5-2 MAAC) record and the program's third-ever appearance in the MAAC Tournament championship contest. Poli led all first-year Division I head coaches in total wins (9) and winning percentage (.562) in 2019. Poli then wrapped up his second season as the Bobcats' leader in 2020. Quinnipiac’s season was cut short after just six games due to the COVID-19 virus. The Bobcats did not play a MAAC contest in 2020. The Bobcats went 4-3 (4-2 MAAC) in 2021 under Poli to earn the title of MAAC Co-Regular Season Champions. Quinnipiac finished the spring campaign with a 4-2 league record, winning three straight home games at the QU Lacrosse Stadium in Hamden from April 7-17. QU defeated St. Bonaventure on the road on March 27, then downed Siena, Manhattan and Canisius in MAAC play in Hamden during the month of April. Under the guidance of Poli,

Men's Lacrosse Assistant Coach
Logan Tousaw joined Mason Poli’s staff as an assistant coach in the fall of 2024, and just wrapped up his first season with the program in the spring of 2025. Tousaw helped lead QU to an upset victory on the road at Canisius in the MAAC Quarterfinals during April of 2025. Prior to his time at Quinnipiac, he most recently served as the Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach / Admissions Counselor at Onondaga Community College, where he helped lead the program to a NJCAA Final Four in both 2023 and 2024. While at OCC Tousaw earned Region 3 Coach of the Year / MSAC Coach of the Year honors in back-to-back campaigns (2023-24). He helped transform the program by recruiting 30+ new players in a two-year span. Tousaw has also served as a lacrosse coach for Sweetlax Lacrosse in Rochester, NY, and has worked as a game planning & talent scout for Atlas LC of the Premier Lacrosse League in the past. He’s made other previous coaching stops at SUNY at Cortland (Defense/Recruiting Coordinator), SUNY at Oswego (Defensive Coordinator), Mercyhurst Northeast College (Head Coach), Mercyhurt University (Assistant Coach), and Ohio Wesleyan University (Defensive Coordinator). As a player, Tousaw was a student-athlete at Syracuse (2011), Onondaga Community College (2012 & 2013), and at Marquette (2014 & 2015). Men's Lacrosse Assistant Coach
HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac men’s lacrosse program has announced the addition of Matt Rice to the Bobcats’ coaching staff, as revealed on Monday, Nov. 25, 2025 by Head Coach Mason Poli. Rice will serve as an assistant coach on Poli’s staff ahead of the 2026 season, and will specialize as the team’s offensive coordinator. “I am very excited to welcome Matt to our staff and to the Quinnipiac Lacrosse program,” Poli said. “He has left his mark at all of the stops during his young career so far ,and are excited to see the impact he brings to Hamden. As a player and coach Matt was instrumental in the rise of Christopher Newport lacrosse in the D3 landscape. At his most recent stop at OWU, Matt led the offense to rank in the Top 20 in many major statistical categories.” Prior to joining the Bobcats, Rice served as the Offensive Coordinator at Ohio Wesleyan University from 2023-2025. He served as the Battling Bishops' offensive coordinator and was part of coaching staffs that were recognized as Region 5 Coaching Staff of the Year by the Intercollegiate Men's Lacrosse Coaches Association in 2025, and North Coast Athletic Conference Coaching Staff of the Year in 2024. Rice helped guide the program to an 11-5 mark in 2024, then a 15-4 record in 2025. He helped coordinate a Top 20 Offense in 2025, finishing 13th in Division III in Goals per Game (16.47) and Offensive Efficiency (35.2%), and 8th in Shooting Percentage (35.0%).
