Student Assistant
Claire Stern announced her medical retirement from basketball before the start of the 2025-26 season. The Maple Grove, Minn., native appeared in 32 games off the bench and logged 13.7 minutes per game in her freshman season. She averaged 4.1 points with 2.7 rebounds per game and ranked third on the team shooting 82.3 percent from the free throw line. Stern also hauled in 86 rebounds, including 52 on the defensive end. She was named to the 2024-25 Summit League All-Academic Team. Prior to NDSU, Stern was a four-year letterwinner at Maple Grove Senior High School. She was the sixth-rated prospect in Minnesota on prepgirlshoops.com and an All-Conference selection in her junior season. Stern helped her team to back-to-back conference championships in 2021-22 and 2022-23 and was a member of the National Honors Society.

Associate Head Coach
Dylan Geissert was named associate head coach at North Dakota State on May 17, 2023 after spending four seasons with the Bison as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator. Geissert helped NDSU to its most wins in the Division I era and most since 2004-05 with a 22-12 (13-3 Summit) overall record in 2023-24. It also marked the most wins in conference play since joining the Summit League in 2007-08. The Bison finished in second place in the Summit League and went on to appear in their first-ever Summit League Tournament championship game. NDSU closed the season winning its first WNIT game in program history over Montana and advanced to the WNIT Super 16 round against Minnesota. The Bison completed the 2023-24 season ranking in the top 30 nationally in three-point percentage (13th, 36.8), free throw percentage (21st, 15.03) and scoring offense (29th, 75.4). Geissert has also aided in the development of 12 All-Summit League selections during his time at NDSU, including Elle Evans, who earned the programs first Summit League Freshman of the Year honor in the 2022-23 season. Prior to joining the Bison in 2019, Geissert was a graduate student manager at the University of Kansas from 2017-19. The Herington, Kansas native coordinated the team's practice squad, helped with video, scouting, game preparation and assisted in the player development process. Director of Women’s Basketball Operations
Mackayla Schuelke was named director of basketball operations on July 16, 2021. She returns to the staff after being a manager for three seasons while completing her bachelor’s degree in sport management at North Dakota State from 2017-20. During her time as a manager, Schuelke organized equipment needed for practice and games, assisted with travel plans and game day operations, analyzed statistics, coordinated film exchange with opponents and helped with summer camps. Schuelke is a native of Milbank, S.D. and is currently pursuing her master's degree in business administration.
