Head Men's Wrestling Coach/Assistant Women's Wrestling Coach
Grant Zamin joined the men's and women's wrestling staff as a graduate assistant before the 2021-2022 season. In the summer of 2022, he was promoted to assistant coach before being named the head men's wrestling coach in June 2024. Since his time at North Central, both teams have had their best seasons in school history, with the women winning the 2022-23 NCWWC National Championship while the men were ranked No. 1 in the nation before earning a team trophy with a fourth-place finish at the NCAA DIII National Championships in 2022-23. North Central has tallied four National Champions and 41 All-American honors on the women's side, with two National Champions and nine All-American awards on the men's side since Zamin's arrival. Zamin comes to North Central after an impressive career on the mat at the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse where he was a two-time All-American. After finishing eighth at the NCAA Division III Championships in 2019, Zamin was the No. 1 seed at 157 pounds at the 2020 NCAA Division III Championships, which were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He was ranked No. 2 by the NWCA at 165 pounds in 2021 when the Championships were again canceled, taking away his opportunity to become a three-time All-American. Zamin was a three-time WIAC tournament Champion and four-time finalist at UWL, helping lead his team to the conference championship all four years. Amanda Martinez joined the men's and women's wrestling staffs as a graduate assistant prior to the 2021-2022 season before being named as assistant coach in the summer of 2022. She completed her collegiate career with the Cardinals as a two-time All-American, reaching the national finals and finishing as the runner-up at 130 pounds at the National Collegiate Women's Wrestling Championships in both 2020 and 2021. She graduated as the program's all-time leader in career victories. In addition to her stellar career on the mat, Martinez also got the job done in the classroom as a three-time NWCA Scholar All-American. Still actively competing on the senior level, Martinez represented the USA at 57kg at the 2021 U23 World Championships in Belgrade Serbia. She is a four-time USA Wrestling All-American, and is currently ranked 3rd in the United States on the Olympic ladder at 57kg after making the 2022 Senior National team. She finished top 8 at the 2020 U.S. Olympic Trials and was 4th at the 2021 USA Wrestling Senior World Team Trials at 55kg. Amanda graduated from North Central in the spring of 2021 with a degree in Management.

Assistant Wrestling Coach
Brandon Precin joined the Cardinal Men's and Women's Wrestling staffs prior to the 2021-2022 season. He joins the program after an impressive Division I and Senior level wrestling and coaching career. Precin was a three-time All-American at Northwestern University, graduating 3rd on the program's all-time wins list with 138 career victories. He finished 7th at the NCAA Division I Championships in 2008, before improving to 3rd place finishes in both 2009 and 2011. He twice made the Big Ten finals for the Wildcats. He was also a two-time champion of the prestigious Midlands Championships. Precin was inducted into the Northwestern Athletics Hall of Fame in 2018. After completing his collegiate career, Precin joined the coaching staff at Stanford University where he coached for two seasons while competing internationally on the Senior level in freestyle. He then moved to the Cliff Keen RTC at the University of Michigan where he trained and competed for the USA until his retirement in 2016. On the USA Wrestling circuit, Precin was the University Freestyle National Champion in 2011 at 55kg. He finished 3rd at the 2010 Senior World Team Trials, earning a place on the USA Wrestling Senior National Team. He also qualified for the 2012 USA Wrestling Olympic Trials.

Volunteer Assistant Wrestling Coach
Dan Schiferl joined the Cardinal wrestling staff as a volunteer assistant coach in the fall of 2017 after serving two years as an assistant coach at UW-Oshkosh. During his time on staff with the Titans, Dan helped the team secure several top placements in the NCAA Division III West Regional. Schiferl was a 3x NCAA Qualifier on the mat at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, advancing to the NCAA tournament's Round of 12 in both 2012 and 2013 before breaking through to earn All-American honors as a senior with a fourth-place finish at 174 pounds. That season, Schiferl helped his team to a 10th-place finish at the NCAA Championships. In addition to winning the NCAA West Regional title at 174 pounds in both 2013 and 2014, he was also crowned champion of the Pointer Open, the Dan Gable Open, The Pete Willson Invitational, the Lakeland College Invite and the Milwaukee School of Engineering Invite. He was honored as a First-Team All-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) selection in 2014, finishing his career with 98 career victories for the Titans. As a prep athlete at Stoughton High School (Wisconsin), Schiferl was a 4x WIAA Division 1 State Qualifier, achieving a fifth-place finish at the 2009 State Championships and earning High School All-American honors from USA Wrestling. Schiferl graduated from UW-Oshkosh in 2014 with a bachelor's degree in history.
