Muhlenberg College Wrestling

Jason McLean is the head wrestling coach at Muhlenberg College with a career record of 85-53 (.616) through the 2024-25 season in seven years. He holds the highest winning percentage of any coach in program history and is second in total wins. McLean has coached the Mules to their first national ranking in program history, 15 Centennial Conference champions, and nine NCAA qualifiers. As a wrestler, he earned All-America honors by finishing eighth at 141 pounds at the NCAA Championships as a senior, becoming the first All-American in program history. He won the Centennial Conference championship in 2001 with a record of 34-11 and ended his wrestling career with a 71-31 record. Prior to Muhlenberg, McLean served as head wrestling coach, assistant football coach, assistant track & field coach, and assistant athletic director in the New Brunswick School District from 2003-17, where he re-established the defunct New Brunswick High School wrestling program after a 25-year absence in 2006. He was named Greater Middlesex Conference Blue Division coach of the year in 2016 and is a co-founder of the New Jersey Urban Wrestling League. McLean is a member of the NCAA Division III Wrestling Committee and a former member of the NWCA Division III ranking committee.
