Milwaukee School of Engineering Men's Volleyball

Jo is from Manila, Philippines and is currently in his second season with the MSOE men's volleyball team, bringing an international perspective shaped by his background in education, officiating, and coaching. In the Philippines, Jo is a licensed national referee and nationally certified coach with experience across multiple age levels, including primary, high school, collegiate, and semi-professional programs. He has coached both men's and women's teams and previously competed as a varsity student-athlete for four years at Philippine Normal University. Jo earned his bachelor's degree in Physical Education and Health and is currently completing his master's degree in Physical Education. He was hired as a Physical Education Teacher by Milwaukee Public Schools and relocated to Milwaukee, where he also coaches at the high school and club levels—continuing his commitment to student-athlete development through sport and education. Jo emphasizes developing well-rounded athletes, fostering not only technical skill and competitive excellence but also personal growth, teamwork, and lifelong values through sport.
