Biography

Veteran college baseball coach Jason Richman enters his third season on The Flats, being named Georgia Tech's director of pitching on Oct. 11, 2023. Richman joined the Yellow Jackets after a three-year stint as the pitching coach at USC Aiken. He helped the Pacers to an 11-year improvement in 2022, reaching the PBC Tournament semifinals after a 20-10 conference season. He tutored multiple all-conference and all-region selections. Prior to USC Aiken, Richman was the player development coach at his alma mater, Georgia Southern for three seasons. As a player in Statesboro, Richman was tabbed the 2014 Southern Conference Most Outstanding Player and was the Tom Walter/Pete Frates College Baseball Inspiration Award Winner. He was drafted in the 18th round of the 2015 MLB Draft to the Texas Rangers, working his way to Triple A with the Rangers and Dodgers.
