Brad Shore

Biography

Brad Shore is going into his sixth season with the Florida Atlantic University men’s soccer team as an assistant coach. Shore joined the Owls prior to the 2017 season after Joey Worthen took over the program. Shore works specifically on the development of the Owls’ goalkeepers. The Owls have continued to trend in a positive direction, as the team is coming off back-to-back winning seasons for the first time since 2003-04. FAU had a 9-7-3 record, which was capped by an impressive performance in the Conference USA Championship Title game. The Owls beat the tournament-host Charlotte in penalty kicks, 5-3, and upset the reigning College Cup Champion in Marshall, 3-1, in the semifinals. FAU’s goalkeeper Neil Strauber had another impressive performance in the 2021 season, ending the year with five shutouts, a league’s most 81 saves (ranked No. 8 nationally) and a 1.58 goals against average. In the conference tournament, Strauber led the Owls with just three goals allowed across three matches and 11 critical total saves. In the 2021 spring season, the Owls’ 6-4-2 record marked the program’s first winning season since 2007. The team’s backline and goalkeeping work held opponents to 11 goals and a 0.92 goals against average, both becoming school records.
