Jeff Norrid

Biography

Jeff Norrid joined the Blue Devil gridiron program in December 2023 and serves as an assistant coach, working primarily with the offensive line. Norrid has more than 20 years of coaching experience, three BCS National Championships, three SEC Championships, an ACC Championship, a Conference USA Championship and a Sun Belt Conference Championship. During his second year at Duke, Norrid guided his group to semifinalist recognition for the Joe Moore Award, given annually to the best college football offensive line. Leading the way was All-America tackle Brian Parker II, who closed the year earning a Second Team All-America selection by the Walter Camp Foundation and ESPN.com as well as a Third Team All-America choice by the Associated Press. In addition, Parker II was a second team All-ACC choice by the league and received an Associated Press First Team All-ACC nod. Parker II was recognized by Pro Football Focus (PFF) as having the fifth-highest run blocking grade in the regular season among Power Four tackles (85.5) and the highest in the ACC. According to PFF, Parker II in 2025 posted the sixth-best total offensive grade among Power Four tackles (87.2), also the highest in the ACC. Norrid’s unit helped Duke rewrite the record book in 2025 as the Blue Devils set the program record for total touchdowns scored (63), points scored (484) and pass efficiency (152.53) and became the first in school history to have a 3,000-yard passer, 1,000-yard receiver and 1,000-yard rusher.
