Gabe Infante

Biography

Gabe Infante joined the Blue Devil gridiron program in January 2024 and serves as the Baxter Family Assistant Head Coach and special teams coordinator. He also coaches Duke’s defensive tackles. Infante worked with Manny Diaz on the defensive staff at Penn State University during the 2022-23 seasons. Infante has more than 26 years of coaching experience, including 11 as a head coach at the high school level. His resume includes a ranked Power Four bowl game win, four Pennsylvania state championships and nearly 50 collegiate wins over the last seven years. Under Infante’s leadership in 2025, defensive tackle Aaron Hall earned Third Team All-ACC honors and served as a team captain. Hall finished the year with five tackles in the Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl en route to receiving the game’s Jimmy Rogers Jr. Most Valuable Lineman accolades. As a whole, Infante’s work along the defensive line helped the Blue Devils finish the year ranking 11th nationally in fumbles recovered (10), 13th in turnover margin (+0.71), 14th in turnovers gained (24) and 16th in tackles for loss per game (6.6). Special teams played a key role in Duke’s 2025 ACC Championship as Infante’s units ranked third nationally in kickoff return average (29.6), 12th in punt return defense (3.8), 16th in net punting (42.0) and 25th in blocked kicks (2).
