Assistant Men's Lacrosse Coach
Ben Garcia is the newest member of Drexel's staff. Garcia will work with Drexel's face-off unit and will assist with the Dragons' defense. Garcia graduated in 2024 from St. Bonaventure University with a video production degree. He played in 40 games during his career with the Bonnies and was twice named to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference All-Academic team. Garcia is a local product from Springfield High School in Delaware County.

Assistant Men's Lacrosse Coach
Joel Tinney joined the Drexel staff in the fall of 2024. Tinney, the team's offensive coordinator, came to Drexel after serving as an assistant at Michigan the previous season. The Wolverines won the Big 10 championship and advanced to the NCAA Tournament. Tinney worked mainly with the Wolverines' offense and goalkeepers and serves in a similar role with the Dragons. Michigan finished second in the Big 10 in scoring offense. Before arriving in Ann Arbor, Tinney spent five seasons as an assistant coach at perennial-power Calvert Hall in Towson, Md. He helped lead Calvert Hall to the 2019 Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) and national championship. Tinney, who played his college lacrosse at Johns Hopkins, played professionally in the National Lacrosse League, Major League Lacrosse and the Premier Lacrosse League from 2018-2021. During his playing days at Hopkins, Tinney scored 68 career goals and had 119 career points. He was a two-time First Team All-American, a two-time All-Big Ten selection and was the league's Freshman of the Year in 2014. A team captain, Tinney was part of two Big Ten championship teams. Tinney graduated from Hopkins in 2018 with a political science and government degree. A native of Cambridge, Ontario, Tinney played high school lacrosse at national-power Culver Military Academy in Indiana. He graduated in 2013 and was the second-ranked high school player in the nation as a senior.

Associate Men's Lacrosse Head Coach
Tucker Durkin joined the coaching staff at Drexel University in the summer of 2019. Durkin works primarily with Drexel's defense. He was elevated to associate head coach following the 2024 season. Durkin made an immediate impact on his arrival as Drexel's defensive coordinator. In 2021, Drexel was second in the CAA and in the top 25 nationally in scoring defense. The Dragons allowed almost two less goals a game than a year ago and held more than half their opponents to 10 goals or less. Sean Quinn was a First Team All-CAA pick on defense for Drexel, while Jack Farrell was a Second Team All-CAA selection at long stick. The Dragons won the CAA championship for the first time since 2014 and advanced to the NCAA Championships. Drexel held fourth-ranked Notre Dame to just 10 goals in the opening round of the tournament. Farrell and Quinn were Second Team All-CAA picks in 2022. This past season, in his first as associate head coach, Durkin's defense held six teams to single-digit scoring. The Dragons held No. 15 Fairfield, the highest scoring team in the CAA, to just six goals in the CAA semifinals as they advanced to the title game once again. Drexel has played in the CAA finals twice in Durkin's five seasons. Durkin came to Drexel after serving as the head coach at Bryn Athyn for four seasons.
