Coach Mazzola enters his first season on the men's and women's soccer staffs. Coach Mazzola comes to Dominican from premier club Inter Connecticut FC in Norwalk, CT. He spent the last two years as the Assistant Boys Pre-High School Coaching Director and four-team Head Coach. Mazzola managed teams from U8-U12 and was the U11 & U12 Premier Age Group Coach. After a brief stint in Oslo, Norway, he started his role at Inter CT as a part-time staff coach in October 2020 and worked his way up to Assistant Coaching Director. Along with his duties at Inter CT, Mazzola also coached for AC Connecticut USL Pre-Academy as U10 & U11 Head Coach and Assistant Coach for the U15 USL Academy Cup Champions 2023 in Tampa, Florida. Coach Mazzola’s playing experience includes: Westchester Flames - Summer 2015 Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT - 2014 Empoli ISM in Perugia, Italy - 2013/2014 FC Westchester Academy - 2011-2014 He holds a USSF 'D' license and is currently working towards his USSF National 'C' license. Mazzola graduated from Sacred Heart University in 2018 with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology.

Coach Axelrod was hired in June of 2023 as the 11th head coach in program history. Through Axelrod's first two seasons, the Chargers have amassed a record of 14-16-5, including a 10-7-5 record in the CACC. 2023 was the 7th year in a row the Chargers have qualified for the CACC tournament and 2024 marked the first time since the Spring 2021 season that the team has advanced to the CACC semi-finals. Axelrod comes to Dominican from Saint Peter’s University where he spent the last three years as the first assistant on the Peacock staff. As part of the SPU staff, the 2022 team recorded the most wins in a season since 2009, increased their roster size from 14 to 28, coached four MAAC All-Conference players and one professional player, along with 19 MAAC All-Academic Honorees. The 2021 team recorded their highest RPI since 2011 and boasted a Spring 2022 team GPA of 3.69. Other collegiate stops include three years as an assistant men’s soccer coach at Fordham University and spent two seasons as a graduate assistant men’s soccer coach at LIU-Brooklyn. Axelrod also served as an assistant men’s and volunteer women’s coach at Whitman College. As part of the Rams staff, the team won the 2016 Atlantic 10 Championship and qualified for the NCAA Tournament. In 2017, the team were NCAA Tournament Quarterfinalists and were ranked as high as seventh in the nation. While at LIU-Brooklyn, the team won the 2015 NEC Championship and qualified for the NCAA Tournament. Axelrod holds a USSF National ‘
