Laura Barry enters her second season with the program after joining the Davidson women's basketball staff as an assistant coach in August of 2023. Prior to arriving at Davidson, Barry spent the last five years working for both Peak Basketball LLC in Boone, N.C., and Point Guard College. Barry also served as the head women's basketball coach at Watauga High School where she led the team to a 124-55 record in seven years. For her coaching efforts, Barry was named the Coach of the Year in the High/Northwestern Conference in 2018 and 2022 and was a 40-Under-40 honoree by the Boone Chamber of Commerce in 2020. She rounds out her coaching accolades having earned the Homer Morrison Memorial Eight Who Make a Difference Award by the North Carolina High School Athletic Association in 2020. Barry is a 2009 graduate of the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, where she earned her degree in Exercise and Sport Science.
