A former standout student-athlete, Belgiorno brings a strong blend of competitive experience and academic excellence to the program. During his collegiate career at Heidelberg University he consistently demonstrated growth on the mat while earning multiple Academic All-OAC honors. As a senior in 2023-24, he recorded 11 wins, including one fall, capping off a steady and productive final season. The year prior, he posted 10 victories with three falls as a junior, again earning Academic All-OAC recognition. His sophomore campaign in 2021-22 featured four wins and one fall, accompanied by another Academic All-OAC selection. Belgiorno began his college career in the shortened 2020–21 season. His combination of disciplined performance and academic achievement has shaped his coaching approach, emphasizing development, work ethic, and excellence both on the mat and in the classroom.
