Edith Racine

Biography

Edith Racine is the Associate Head Coach of Cornell University women's ice hockey, a position she has held since the 2019-20 season. She joined Cornell as an assistant coach in 2009 and spent 10 years developing the Big Red's goaltenders before her promotion. Prior to Cornell, Racine coached at Brown University for two seasons (2007-09) and served as head goaltending instructor at the Elite Hockey Camp for six summers. As a player, she was a four-time goaltender at Elmira College, leading her squad to two national titles and a national runner-up finish while earning All-American honors twice from the AHCA. At Cornell, Racine has coached numerous elite goaltenders including Amanda Mazzotta, Lauren Slebodnick, Paula Voorheis, Lindsay Browning, and Annelies Bergmann. Under her guidance, Lindsay Browning became the first Cornell goalie to earn All-America honors and Kazmaier Top-10 Finalist recognition, while Bergmann won Ivy League Rookie of the Year and ECAC Hockey Goaltender of the Year. In 2024, Racine was named AHCA Assistant Coach of the Year.
