DeWindt attended CUW, where he played for the Falcons all four years, mainly as a defensive back. He was also a track and field team member for two years. He graduated with his Bachelor's Degree in Sports and Recreation Management in 2016. While at CUW, he has worked with the defensive backs and now primarily concentrates on outside linebackers.
