Mike Harder '97 was named the Donald F. Vaughan Head Men's Hockey Coach in June 2023.  Harder returned to Colgate after spending six years (2013-2019) as an assistant

Anthony Walsh joined the men's hockey staff at Colgate in July 2023. Walsh comes to Colgate after most recently serving as an assistant coach with the US National Team Development Program since March 2022. He began working with the NTDP U17 team before transitioning to the U18 team, helping guide the U18 squad to a gold medal at the 2023 IIHF U18 World Championships. Before his time with the NTDP, Walsh served as an assistant coach at SUNY Fredonia during the 2021-22 season. Walsh skated four seasons (2015-2019) at Yale, where he was named captain of the Bulldogs for his senior season. The Illinois native recorded 24 points (9g-15a) in 104 career games and was awarded the Malcolm G. Chace award for sportsmanship and service to Yale Hockey traditions. After completing his playing career, Walsh served as Yale's director of hockey operations for the 2019-20 campaign. Before playing collegiately, Walsh suited up in the USHL with the Green Bay Gamblers (2012-2015) and Sioux City Musketeers (2015), appearing in 114 games between the regular season and Clark Cup Playoffs.

Badalamenti comes to Colgate after serving as an assistant with the Dubuque Fighting Saints (USHL) during the 2022-23 season. While on the Fighting Saints staff, he worked primarily with the forwards and power play unit and coached two All-USHL Second Team selections in Ryan St. Louis and Max Burkholder. A native of Harrison Township, Mich., Badalamenti is entering his eighth season overall in coaching after spending three seasons (2019-2022) as an assistant coach for Trinity College and three seasons (2016-2019) with his alma mater, the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point, in the same capacity. In his first season at Trinity, Badalamenti helped lead the Bantams to a NESCAC Championship appearance. During the 2021-22 season, he helped guide the team to a NESCAC Championship and NCAA Tournament berth. Badalamenti was a member of the Pointers coaching staff that made an NCAA Frozen Four appearance in 2016-17 and later won a National Championship in 2018-19. In that season, he helped the Pointers to a program-best record of 29-0-2, marking their first-ever undefeated season. Badalamenti played two seasons of college hockey for UW - Stevens Point in 2014-15 and 2015-16 before suffering a career-ending neck injury that led to his transition into coaching. He was a product of the Little Caesars AAA program before spending four seasons playing junior hockey in the NAHL with four franchises.
