Kruetfeldt, the primary assistant is in his third year on the Wildcat coaching staff after working as a student assistant in the '21-'22 and '22-'23 school years. Kruetzfeldt began his running journey as a top runner for Maria Carillo HS, where he played an instrumental role in the Puma's NCS title in 2017. From there he took his talents to Chico State, where he ran for the Wildcats for several seasons, before physical issues forced his retirement from competitive running. Wanting to give back to the sport that gave him so much Kruetzfeldt volunteered his time as a student assistant, helping the Wildcats come out of the Covid break and get back to their winning ways. In the fall of 2023 Kruetzfeldt began his first year as the 'Cats primary Cross Country assistant, helping both squads to CCAA titles.
