Kyle Gallagher is entering his fifth year with the Herd in 2026, and he takes over as the team's defensive coordinator after running the offense for the last two seasons. Gallagher also serves as the program's recruiting coordinator. Gallagher has made previous collegiate coaching stops at Salisbury University, Susquehanna University, and Widener University. Prior to his arrival at Bucknell, Gallagher worked as a Maryland state team director and head coach for True Lacrosse. Serving as a graduate assistant coach at his alma mater, Salisbury, Gallagher helped the Sea Gulls reach the 2019 NCAA Division III semifinals with a 22-2 record. The Sea Gulls were also 7-0 and ranked first in the nation in 2020 before the remainder of the season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Gallagher spent three seasons at Susquehanna, serving as offensive coordinator in 2016 and 2017 and defensive coordinator/faceoffs coach in 2018. The River Hawks were awarded Conference Coaching Staff of the Year in his first season and went 33-19 with Gallagher on staff. Gallagher’s first collegiate coaching experience was as an assistant coach and faceoffs coach for the Widener Pride during the 2015 season, and before that coached Worcester Preparatory School, Demar High School and the Green Turtle/Quiet Storm Eastern Shore Club teams. During his playing days, Gallagher helped lead Salisbury to three Capital Athletic Conference titles as well as back-to-back national championship titles in 2011 and 20

Matt Kerwick, a veteran of more than 30 years as a lacrosse coach at the collegiate level, joined Frank Fedorjaka's staff as an assistant coach in 2025, and in 2026 he takes over as the team's offensive coordinator. Kerwick's extensive resume includes successful head coaching stints at Cornell, Jacksonville, Hobart, Alfred, and Randolph-Macon, where he combined to win 136 games, and he is one of just a handful of coaches to lead three different Division I teams to the NCAA Tournament. A 1990 Hobart graduate, where he was a lacrosse teammate of Fedorjaka, Kerwick was a two-time All-American, won four straight Division III national championships, and was named MVP of the 1989 NCAA Tournament. He was also a standout defenseman on the Statesmen hockey team, and he received the William C. Stiles Award, presented to the Hobart senior student-athlete for leadership, determination and character. Following his collegiate career, he played in the Major Indoor Lacrosse League from 1991 through 1996, earning the Baltimore Thunder's "Unsung Hero" award twice, and he was an All- Star selection in 1992.
