Brandon O'Neall

Biography

Brandon O'Neall began his tenure at Brown University as the Director of Strength and Conditioning on September 14th, 2011, following a short stint as Dartmouth College's Assistant Director of Strength and Conditioning, as well as two years as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at the University of Maine. O'Neall was recently awarded the highest honor that can be achieved as a strength conditioning professional in May 2022, with the Master Strength and Conditioning Coach (MSCC) certification through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Association (CSCCa) at their national conference. O'Neall is also certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). A native of Cedar Falls, IA, O'Neall was a 3-sport athlete in high school competing in football, wrestling and soccer. He went on to play football for Central College in Pella, IA where he was a 4-year letterwinner and began his first introduction to the field of strength and conditioning as an intern. He received his bachelor's degree in exercise science, graduating magna cum laude in 2007. O'Neall went on to complete his master's degree in kinesiology at Western Illinois University where he served as a Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for two years. He then completed professional stops at the University of Tulsa and the University of Iowa as well.
