2024 Highlights Coached three male athletes to First Team All-America status at the 2024 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships: Danny Bryant in the shot put, Cameron Bates in the javelin and Dallin Shurts in the discus. He also coached Shurts to a school record in the men's discus, Gretchen Hoekstre to a school record in the women's discus and Bryant to BYU's No. 3 program mark in the men's shot put. Responsibilities Coaches the throws for the men's and women's track and field teams. Education Graduated from Bringham Young University in 2008 with a Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Fitness and Wellness Management. Completed a Masters in Exercise Sciences in 2014. Years at BYU Competed on the BYU men's track and feild team from 2003-08, then worked as a manager for the BYU track and field team from 2008-11 before accepting the assistant coaching position with the women's track and field team in 2011. Prior to BYU In addition to the experience gained at BYU, Arrhenius also worked as a voluntary assistant coach for the Utah Valley University track and field. At UVU, Arrhenius assisted in coaching the throws for both the men's and women's team, and also assisted with the strength and conditioning of all the track and field athletes. He also coached two Great West Conference champions. Track and Field Career Competed on the BYU men's track and field team from 2003-08.
